Supervised Sessions
Supervised sessions allow the user to administer tests to respondents one to one. All tests and batteries within GeneSys Online are available for supervised administration.
Supervised Sessions
To Add a supervised session click on the “Add” button in the Sessions column. The middle column will now change to allow you to select which session type you wish to use. Supervised is typically chosen as default. Select Supervised is necessary. In the Right hand column enter a brief description of the session. This will serve as a title for the session, and can allow you to identify it at a later date.

Once you have entered a brief description you can save the session by clicking on the “Save” button above the middle column.
Supervised Sessions
To Edit a session, first select the session from the column, and then press the “Edit” button above. You will now be able to change the type of session you are administering, or the session name.
Supervised Sessions
To administer tests in a supervised session you first need to add respondents to it. To add a respondent, select the session from the Sessions column, then click on the “Add” Button in the respondent column. In the right hand column enter the following details:

  • Family Name
  • First Name
  • Questionnaire
  • Language

  • Once you have entered this information, click on the “Save” button above the right hand column. If at a later stage, prior to testing, you wish to edit this information, click on the “Edit” button in the Respondent column and amend the relevant information in the right hand column.

To launch the test on screen, click on the icon on the right of the respondents name.

Once complete the respondent is asked to call the administrator. The respondent will not be able to progress beyond this point until the correct PIN number is entered. Enter your PIN number, and you will be returned to the data management screen.
    Supervised Sessions
Sessions are automatically deleted after one year. However, if you wish to delete your session before that, select the session that you wish to delete from the Session column, then right click on it. You will be offered a menu of actions to perform with the session. Select Delete from the menu.

Please Note: The Delete function is a destructive operation. By deleting a session you will lose it and any respondents from within the session. If you wish to keep the respondents data you can select all the respondents within the session, right click on them and select “cut”. You can now select another session to paste them into.
