GeneSys can not locate a dongle
Solution GeneSys may not be able to locate a dongle for a number of reasons:

1. The dongle is not connected.
2. The dongle driver is not installed
3. A 64 bit operating system is in use.

1. Ensure the dongle is connected to your computer. If you are using a USB dongle, the light at the end will illuminate to indicate it is connected.

2. The dongle requires a driver to be installed. Ensure you have administrator privileges to install software, and download the dongle driver from the Downloads section of the GeneSys support site.

Connect your dongle and run the drvier install file.

Please Note: for computers running Vista and above this driver should be installed automatically when you connect your driver.

3. There is a conflict between the drivers provided by the dongle developers and drivers used by 64bit systems. This should only affect computers running Windows Vista 64bit or Windows 7 64 bit. To fix this problem on a 64 bit system, please contact your distributor, who will be able to issue a 64bit GeneSys patch.
