 GSU File Association
Solution

GSU files contain updates for the GeneSys 3 software. These files are released to patch bugs, or to update the software.

To run a GSU file double click on it. You will be given a description of what the update will do. Click on the update button to apply the GSU patch.

If the GSU fails to launch, this may be due to the file type not being associated correctly on your computer.

If the GSU file type is not associated, you will be given a prompt to search the internet for an appropriate file, or to select a program from a list.

Choose the option to select the program from a list.

A program browser window will launch. Click on the Browse button.

Browse to the following location:

C:\Windows\System32

In this folder, select a file called “gs3ustub.exe”.

Click OK.

You will now return to the program browser window. Put a tick in the box under the program list so that the gs3ustub.exe program is used every time a gsu is run.

Now click OK.
